The Vale of Glamorgan Council is consulting with prescribed consultees on its admission arrangements for the academic year 2027/28 as per the requirements of the School Admission Code 2013.
The only changes from last year's arrangements is a proposed extension of the temporary secondary oversubscription criteria relating to those pupils on roll at a feeder primary school, criteria 4 of the secondary school oversubscription criteria. It is proposed to extend the temporary criteria for a further year that would cease for the 2028/29 academicyear. The text has been revised in regards to the 2024 Welsh Government regulations requiring a Coordinated Admissions Scheme. The list of participating schools has been amended
The consultation will run from 6 January 2026 to 17 February 2026. The consultation letter and admissions policy are available to download.
