Training calendar for April 2017 - March 2018



  • As usual, a maximum of 2 staff members from each setting can apply for a course.
  • Your place will only be secured once payment has been received by our team. 
  • Your name will be removed from the system if payment is not made within 7 days. 
  • Payment of cash or cheque is accepted - cheques to be made payable to: Vale of Glamorgan Council and sent to Laura Ellis or Shelley Lloyd, Children & Young People’s Partnership, Civic Office, Holton Road, Barry CF634RU.  Alternatively you can call into the office and pay by cash.
  • We can only accept name changes for courses or cancellation of a place - 7 days before the training is due to take place.
  • There may be occasions, although very rare, that we may have to cancel or re-arrange courses at short notice.
  • If you fail to attend training you will be charged a £25 administration fee.
  • Unregistered Childcare Providers can only attend Childcare Protection training. This is good practice for all Childcare Providers.

CACHE Level 3 Transition to Playwork

(from Early Years)

To be able to gain the Award you will need to hold a Level 3 CCLD qualification and be in employment or volunteering within a play setting.


FREE funded via a grant. 

Please Note Costs of £800 will be recovered from those who fail to complete the course.
