Vale library members have access to over 200,000 books, 6,000 talking books, 7,000 music CDs, 9,000 DVDs as well as free book reservations for any book in Wales, free internet access and a host of other fantastic services.


All libraries offer you a welcoming, safe, clean and pleasant environment and our staff will be polite, helpful and sensitive to your needs.

In Vale libraries we aim to inspire people and encourage a sense of place through libraries with books, information, learning, online access, music, film and services for every resident in spaces that bring local communities together. 


Llantwit Major Library Refurbishment

The library on Boverton Road will be closed from 22 September 2014 in order for major improvements to be made. The library will move temporarily to the Old School on Wine Street from 29 September until the refurbished library reopens early in 2015.
