Vale library members have access to over 200,000 books, 6,000 talking books, 7,000 music CDs, 9,000 DVDs as well as free book reservations for any book in Wales, free internet access and a host of other fantastic services.


All libraries offer you a welcoming, safe, clean and pleasant environment and our staff will be polite, helpful and sensitive to your needs.

Library Strategy - Public Consultation

The next phase of public consultation on the Library Strategy| is now in progress. Please visit the consultation pages| to read the strategy document and for more information on community drop-in sessions, library performance and usage etc. There are 3 online questionnaires relating to: community libraries|, library opening hours| and the relocation of St. Athan library|.
