Garden Waste

From March to November your Garden Waste is collected every other week. December - February we operate a ring and request service for collections.

 

The following items can be added to your garden waste bags:

  • Grass
  • Shrub cuttings
  • Leaves
  • Plants
  • Flowers
  • Most weeds
  • Hedge clippings

If you have a considerable amount of windfall fruit that cannot fit into your food waste container, please place it in a green garden waste bag next to your food waste caddy during your black bag collection week.

 

Please note this is an temporary additional collection due to recent demand.

 

 

Please Note: We do not accept kitchen waste, rubble, invasive weeds like Japanese knotweed, animal waste from carnivore pets (i.e. dogs & cats), soil or logs in garden waste collections.

Please ensure items are placed on the kerbside (or in your communal bin area) by 7.00am on your collection day.

December - February

This operates during slower gardening months December through to February.

Garden Waste Bag

Garden Waste Bags 

Your garden waste must be placed in an official garden waste bag. Green waste that is contained in any other container will not be collected.

 

When filling your bag please exercise common sense as how full / heavy to fill it. If you struggle to lift it, so will our crews.

 

Bags can be purchased from the Dock Offices, The Alps Depot, either Llantwit Major, Cowbridge or Penarth libraries and West House, Penarth.

 

Reusable Bags Cost: £2 each
