Garden Waste

If you’d like us to collect garden waste from your home, you can sign up for a garden waste collection subscription.

 

Subscriptions for the 2025/2026 garden waste collection service have now closed. Information about the 2026/2027 service, beginning in March 2026 will be available soon.

 

 

If you’d prefer not to subscribe to our garden waste collection service, you can still take your garden waste to your local household waste recycling centre for free or compost it at home.

 

 

Winter Book and Collect Service

Current subscribers of the 2025/26 service will receive their last scheduled fortnightly garden waste collections between 17 and 29 November 2025.

 

From 17 November 2025/26 subscribers will be able to book a collection through the winter book and collect service which will run from 01 December 2025 to 27 February 2026.

Please write your house number or name on your garden waste bags to help our crews match them with your booking. Make sure it matches the property name or number used in your booking.

 

Collections will not be available between 22 December and 04 January 2025.

What to put in your garden waste bag

  • Plants and flowers
  • Shrub cuttings and hedge clippings
  • Pet bedding used by non-meat-eating animals, such as hay, straw or wood shavings
No thank you
  • Soil, stones or logs. Please take these items to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre
  • Invasive weeds such as Japanese knotweed. Please arrange for a specialist contractor to collect this and dispose of it safely
  • Any garden furniture, whether plastic or wooden. Please take these items to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre
  • Animal or human faeces. Please put these items in your black bags
  • Pet bedding used by meat-eating animals. Please put these items in your black bags
