 Project Based Youth Clubs

 

We offer several opportunities for young people to be involved in project-based youth clubs including a LGBTQIA+ club, an 18+ youth club and a Welsh language youth club.

 

  • Youthy 18+

    Youthy 18+ is an open access youth club for young people aged 18-25 years old. The aim of this club to support young people with the transition into adulthood, including activities based on life skills such as money management, cooking and employment support. This club is open every Thursday from 6-8pm at YMCA, Barry.

  • I AM ME

    I AM ME is an open access youth club based around wellbeing and LGBTQIA+ support and education. I AM ME is available for young people aged 11-17. These sessions operate fortnightly, one week is an open access youth club and the other week is focussed project work.  These sessions will focus training and campaigning ideas decided by the group.  I AM ME is open from 6-8pm on Tuesdays in the YMCA, Barry.

  • HUB Club

    HUB Club is a referral-based youth club in partnership with Vale People First, for young people with additional learning needs aged 11-16.  The aim of this club is to support young people with the transition into mainstream youth clubs. To refer your child/young person please contact Vale Youth Service. HUB Club is open weekly 6-8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays at YMCA, Barry.

  • Clwb Ieuenctid

    Clwb Ieuenctid is a Welsh language youth club run by The Urdd. This club is available for young people in Years 7, 8 and 9.  This club is open access, but the use of the Welsh language is encouraged. This club is open on Thursdays from 6-8pm at YMCA, Barry.
