Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) have said:
“We are investigating after debris washed up along the shoreline in North Devon and South Wales. The Croyde and Bideford Coastguard Rescue Teams in North Devon assisted with a clean-up operation after debris, namely plastic pipes and coils, began to wash ashore on February 27. Further items washed up along the shoreline at the Vale of Glamorgan. The items were washed up after being lost from a container vessel. The clean-up operation is being led by the local councils while we are working with cargo owners and manufacturers to assist in the recovery process".
