    Vale of Glamorgan

The project aims to showcase what is means to be creative in each region in the form of a digital story map.

An individual from the Vale of Glamorgan, Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Torfaen will be selected to produce a piece of individual work that represents being creative in their area.

Applications from a range of creative practitioners working in different disciplines, languages and mediums are welcome. Pieces should not exceed more than five minutes in length but can be as short as desired.

The work must be suitable to be displayed as part of a digital story map and aim to reflect the identity of each place.

Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Cllr Kathryn McCaffer said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for any and every type of creative in the Vale of Glamorgan. We’re fortunate to be home to a diverse and active creative community with an abundance of stories to tell.

“This is also about making connections between creatives across regions, as whoever is selected will take part in group ideas and reflection sessions online.

“Whilst this will initially be shared online, there’s hopes the work may feature in a future live exhibition in the region once Covid restrictions allow.”

This project is open to self-employed creative practitioners only. A salary of £1,000 per practitioner, includes fee and expenses will be given.

The deadline to apply is 08 February 2021. Find out how to apply at:
