Soaring Success for Vale of Glamorgan pupils on GCSE Results Day

Over 28 per cent of entrants achieved either an A or A* GCSE grade, with 71.4 per cent gaining A* to C grades and 97.6 per cent of learners received A* to G grades.

Cllr Rhiannon Birch, Cabinet Member for Education, Arts and the Welsh Language, said: “I’d like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all learners across the Vale of Glamorgan who received their GCSE results today.

“Once again, we’ve seen an excellent set of results across our schools, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our young people. They should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.

“It’s also important to acknowledge the vital role played by teachers and support staff. Their continued commitment and encouragement have been instrumental in helping learners reach their potential.

“I hope all learners take time to enjoy their success today and feel confident as they take their next steps, whether that’s further education, training, or employment.”
