Vale Care Workers Celebrated at 2025 Excellence in Care Awards

Care workers from across the Vale of Glamorgan have been recognised for their exceptional contributions to the health and social care sector at the Excellence in Care Awards in Cardiff.

excellence in care awardsThe annual awards ceremony - presented by ITV’s Kate Lewis at Cardiff City Stadium – honoured care workers from both local authority teams and external partner organisations who have completed Health and Social Care qualifications over the past year.


This year’s event brought together a wide range of attendees, including the Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan - Councillor Naomi Marshallsea - and the Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Helen Lloyd Jones. 


Senior Welsh Government officials alongside representatives from the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff Councils also attended to show their support for the honourees.

Cllr Eddie Williams, Cabinet Member for Social Care and Health, said: “It is wonderful to see the hard work and dedication of our care workers recognised at the Excellence in Care Awards.


“This dedicated group have demonstrated exemplary standards of care and compassion for others as well as the significant difference they make in the lives of the people they support.


“Their hard work is not only greatly appreciated, but is also truly inspirational to us all.”

Award recipients were presented with a certificate of achievement, a goody bag, and a unique commemorative pottery dish handcrafted by adults supported by Vision 21 - a service that enables adults with learning disabilities to develop new skills and realise their potential through meaningful projects.
