Whitmore High School recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Education and Training in the UK

Whitmore High School has been named among the UK’s Best Workplaces in Education and Training for 2025 by Great Place To Work UK.

The school was recognised in the ‘Small and Medium’ category, following positive anonymous feedback from staff, who highlighted a strong sense of pride and a collaborative team ethos as key contributors to their positive working environment.


Staff reported feeling empowered to grow professionally in all roles, supported by a leadership approach that promotes research-based innovation and inclusive decision-making.

I feel valued in my role and respected by my colleagues whatever their role in the school community is. 

This is a body of staff that really supports each other and cares about the community we serve.”


The national accolade involved staff being asked to comment on how their employer supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
