Join us for an afternoon in conversation with “The Phantom”
Celebrating a lifetime of achievements in the world of musical theatre, Peter Karrie has many stories to tell!
This special afternoon will be hosted by local personality, Mark Thompson, who will be joined by Peter as they talk about his many appearances around the world, performing as “The Phantom of the Opera” along with his times playing Jean Valjean in the musical “Les Misérables”.
Calling all couples! Penarth Pier Pavilion invites you to its Autumn Showcase Open Evening on Thursday 28th September 2023, a chance to see this iconic building, with its magnificent seaside setting, transformed into the ultimate wedding venue of your dreams.

“Swing into the 70s” with Mark Thompson & his Ginatra Cabaret Band. Building on the success of Mark’s cabaret shows around South Wales, we are delighted to welcome Mark and his four piece cabaret band to Penarth Pier Pavilion. Starting with some of the classic swing songs of the 50’s, Mark and the band will then cover memorable 60’s numbers before swinging into the dance-floor fillers of the 70s!

This ‘STRINGTASTIC’ Little Concert introduces string instruments large and small in a fully interactive hour of fun. Always designed around the learning styles of our youngest audience members, Little Concerts are perfect for both tiny tots and children up to 10 years. ‘STRINGTASTIC’ features brilliant young professional string players from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in a joyful hour of exciting music.
For this concert, the RWCMD Big Band will be performing a wide and varied selection of classic and contemporary Big Band numbers ranging from the Basie, Ellington era to the more contemporary repertoire of Goodwin and Schneider.
We are delighted to welcome back to Penarth Pavilion, Toni Horne of award winning Lily Pad Florist, for a wonderful evening of festive creativity!
