Penarth Pier Pavilion offers a range of events throughout the year. Here’s a guide to what’s on over the coming weeks.
This September, as part of their UK Festival tour, we are delighted to welcome American country duo Willow Hill to Penarth Pier Pavilion.
Recently named Rolling Stone’s “Band to Watch”, they’ve cemented themselves as one of Nashville’s most unique sensations.
Led by powerhouse husband and wife duo, Alexandra and CT Fields, Willow Hill delivers a fresh and modern twist on the classic country sound (often described as Lady Gaga meets Kenny Cheney).Join us for an evening of feel-good country music and heartfelt storytelling direct from Nashville!

Join us this September to hear acclaimed art history lecturer, Stella Grace Lyons’s talk on Frida Kahlo.
Feminist icon, folk artist, or surrealist?
Frida Kahlo’s art sought to establish a Mexican identity but much of it was an expression of her own pain.
This art history talk tries to separate the woman from the myth, the painting from the hype.
Penarth Pier Pavilion is delighted to partner with Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to bring you fabulous Morning Mini Music sessions. These inspiring live music and movement classes for under-5s are a joy for children and parents alike.
Celebrating landscape artists Constable, Palmer and Turner, come along this October to learn more about these inspiring artists.
John Constable transformed the way we see the English landscape. While most landscape painters of his day travelled extensively to find ‘picturesque’ or ‘sublime’ scenery, Constable never left England. He instead embarked on a journey to create unique, deeply personal images of the countryside round his boyhood home of East Bergholt.
For many, Constable conjures up images of chocolate boxes and biscuit tins. This talk will demolish this association and give Constable the respect he deserves – as a true revolutionary!
Joins us for this exciting and enlightening Art History Day School with renowned art historian Stella Grace Lyons.
Join us this October to hear acclaimed art history lecturer, Stella Grace Lyons’s fascinating talk on Georgia O’Keeffe.
Despite Georgia O’Keeffe’s insistence that her paintings of flowers were just flowers, they have always been interpreted as containing explicit sexual symbolism.
This autumn, we’re thrilled to welcome back to Penarth Pier Pavilion, Clare Teal, and pianist Jason Rebello for an evening showcasing jazz classics.
The duo will explore a rich, jazz infused repertoire with timeless classics penned by the legendary musical storytellers of the last 100 years and celebrate giants of the Great American and British Songbooks as well as the odd surprise.
Clare won British Jazz Singer of the Year several times, most recently in 2017 and BBC Jazz Singer of the Year in 2006. She was awarded a Gold Badge by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors in 2011 and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Music by the University of Wolverhampton in 2015.
We hope you can join us for this wonderful night of music!
Join us at Penarth Pavilion this Halloween for a fun packed Spooktacular disco on Wednesday 30th October.
Enjoy spooky tunes, party games, a soft drink and delicious Halloween cupcake! With a prize for the best Halloween costume!
