  • Set Up a Direct Debit

    Direct Debit instructions can now be set up online.

  • Pay at the Council Offices

    Payment may be made at the Council’s Cash Office in Barry free of charge by bringing along your barcoded bill.

     

    Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU:

    Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am - 2:00pm

     

  • Pay by Post

    Send your payment to:

    Director of Finance,

    Vale of Glamorgan Council,

    Civic Offices,

    Holton Road,

    Barry, CF63 4RU.

     

    Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to 'The Vale of Glamorgan Council', and crossed. They should not be addressed to an individual Officer.

  • Pay at a Post Offices or PayPoint

    Payment for all bills (except mortgages) may be made at local outlets displaying the Post Office or PayPoint logos during normal business hours, free of charge, using your barcoded bill. 

     

  • Pay via your Bank

    You can make a direct payment to the Vale of Glamorgan council’s bank using online banking or by bank giro credit.

  • Payment Security Measures

    Additional security measures have been introduced for payments made by debit or credit cards

     

    Internet Payments

    In addition to the security code, you will be asked to:

    • Enter your house number if you have one. If not, move to the next field.
    • Enter your full post code. This field is mandatory and is required for added security. If you do not enter a valid post code we are unable to accept your payment.
    • This post code may be entered as CF63 4RU or CF634RU. The system will accept both ways.

     

    Automated Telephone Line

    • You will be asked to enter the security code, which are the last three numbers on the back of your debit or credit card.
    • You will be asked to enter the numbers of your post code e.g. if your post code is CF5 4RU you need to enter 54. If your post code is CF63 4RU you need to enter 634. 

     

    Please note: The postcode used must be the card holders i.e. the address the card statement is sent to / registered at.
