RESOLVED – T H A T the minutes of the meeting held on 19th October, 2017 be approved as a correct record.
581 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST –
No declarations were received.
582 EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC –
RESOLVED – T H A T under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 4 of Schedule 12A (as amended) of the Act, the relevant paragraphs of the Schedule being referred to in brackets after the minute heading.
583 RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE HEAD OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND SAFEGUARDING (EXEMPT INFORMATION – PARAGRAPHS 12, 13 AND 15) (DSS) –
In accordance with the previously agreed process, an initial short listing of candidates for the above post had been undertaken by the Director of Social Services and a representative from Human Resources during December 2017.
The Director of Social Services briefed the Committee on details of the outcome of the technical interviews of the three applicants which were under consideration for final short listing.
Having considered the Director’s comments and all the available information, it was
RESOLVED – T H A T candidate Ph be shortlisted for final interview on 26th January, 2018.
Reason for decision
To ensure that the appointment was in accordance with the Council’s Constitution.
