On Tuesday 6 June, ten schools battled to make it through to the Quad kids final held at Jenner Park stadium.

QuadKids is a nationally recognised athletics concept supported by Welsh and England Athletics.

Its aim is to urge children to participate in and enjoy the core disciplines in athletics.

Students from Evenlode, Llancarfen, Victoria and Fairfield school will now compete for the number one spot at the annual sport competition, in Cardiff later this month.

Each school will present two teams of girls and boys and pupils will take part in several activities including the 75m Sprint and the Vortex Howler Throw.

The festival was organised by the Vale of Glamorgan sports team in partnership with Welsh Athletics.

This year’s annual Girls football festival attracted 200 students to the three day challenge.
