Chatterbooks Reading Groups

Join Chatterbooks - children’s reading groups that aim to encourage you to get more out of books in a fun and interesting way.

If you are aged between 8 and 12 years you could sign up to one of our library Chatterbooks groups. The groups meet during term time and are run by librarians at Barry, Llantwit Major, Dinas Powys, Penarth and Cowbridge libraries.

Chatterbooks is all about getting you to read adventurously and become confident talking about books. Share your enthusiasm for books by taking part in fun activities ranging from writing poetry and exploring websites to book-based crafts and quizzes.

You’ll receive a welcome pack that includes a reading diary, stickers and games, all in a special Chatterbooks bag.
