Youth Action Group

This project is a partnership between the Vale Youth Service and Penarth Town Council.

 

Main Office: West House, Stanwell Road Penarth, CF64 2YG. 

 

Penarth Youth Action is open to young people aged 11-18 years old who become youth councillors that work with local decision-makers in Penarth town to make sure young people's views and ideas are taken seriously. They also have fun getting involved in projects and activities to help make things better for young people in their town.

What We Do:

  •   Hold monthly meetings to discuss issues affecting young people in Penarth.
  • Penarth Youth Action members aim to make a difference in their local community by making improvements to local facilities. 
  • Penarth Youth Action is social, fun, friendly and a great way to make new friends. 
  • Penarth Youth Action provides youn people with the opportunity to gain volunteering hours for the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Welsh Baccalaureate. Members get recognised for their volunteering hours.
  • Penarth Youth Action meets on a monthly basis to dicuss issues affecting young people who live or go to school in Penarth.
  • We organise team building days, training and attend events.
  • Penarth Youth Action members support the Mayor's charities and help fundraise for them.
