  •  Central South Consortium - Joint Education Service Joint Committee

    The Central South Consortium has been established for local authorities to work in partnership for the delivery of Education services on behalf of Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils.

  •  Coychurch Cremetorium Joint Committee

    The Coychurch Crematorium Joint Committee met to discuss the business plan and fees, financial performance and proposed revenue budget, and the programme of meetings for the upcoming year relating to Coychurch Crematorium.

  •  Glamorgan Archives Joint Committee

    The Glamorgan Archives is administered by the Glamorgan Archives Joint Committee (GAJC), a Committee of Councillors’ and co-opted members which meets four times a year. The Committee’s remit is to develop and run a joint archive service for the six local authorities of Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan.

  •  National Joint Committee for the National Adoption Service and Foster Wales

    The National Adoption Service for Wales was established to deliver and improve adoption services in Wales. In 2024, a National Joint Committee was established to provide oversight on behalf of all 22 local authorities in Wales.

  •  Posiect Gwyrdd Joint Committee

    Prosiect Gwyrdd is a partnership between, Caerphilly Borough County Council, The County

     

    Council of the City and County of Cardiff, Monmouthshire County Council, Newport Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council The combined municipal waste of the five authorities makes up 40% of the total municipal waste of Wales. Prosiect Gwyrdd is committed to looking for the best environmental, cost effective and practical solution for waste after recycling and composting has been maximised in each area.

    This Committee focuses on delivering the Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing functions across the Bridgend, Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan areas.

  •  Joint Consultative Forum

    This Committee works alongside Trade Unions in Social Partnership to make recommendations to the Cabinet and on the application of the terms and conditions of service and the education, training and welfare of employees of the Council and any other thinks referred to the Forum for consideration.

  •  Appointment of Local Authority Governors Advisory Panel

    The Advisory Panel for the Appointment of Local Authority Governors will be responsible for making recommendations to the Cabinet regarding the appointment and removal of Local Authority Governors in line with the approved criteria contained within this policy.

  •  Glamorgan Heritage Coast Advisory Group

    This meeting brings together major interest groups to promote awareness and interest in the Heritage Coast

  •  Equalities Consultative Forum

    This forum acts as a consultative forum in relation to the equalities policy and procedures developed by the Council, facilitates the promotion of equal opportunities and the elimination of discrimination both within the Council and the wider community, and to advise the Council of the views and concerns of equality organisations and of the residents of the Vale.

  •  Local Authority Trading Company "The Big Fresh Catering Company"

     The Shareholder Committee has authority to undertake all the functions of the Council as shareholder under the Companies Act 2006, and all relevant legislation and associated guidance in respect of its shareholder duties.
