Libraries

Borrow books, music and films, enjoy free internet access and use our online resources at Vale libraries

Following the Welsh Government announcement all of our library buildings will close from the end of the day on Friday 23 October until the morning of 09 November. As you are not able to return books, your books will be automatically renewed so there will be no overdue charges. Please keep your books at home. Remember that you can download e-books, e-audiobooks and magazines for free. If you’re not a library member yet, feel free to join online.

Please note that recycling containers, bags and dog bags are not currently available at Vale of Glamorgan library branches.

Lit-Scheme

Lit Reach Scheme Project

The Vale of Glamorgan Libraries is a member of the Lit Reach Scheme run by Literature Wales.

This aims to offer creative writing opportunities for individuals and groups within  their member authorities.

A recent Lit Reach project for St Athan Library saw Year 6 from St Athan Primary work with Hip-Hop educator, lyricist and rapper Rufus Mufasa to create a rap song.
