Active Travel Funding

The Council has been awarded a sum of money by Welsh Government to undertake a number of Active Travel improvements, including feasibility, design and small construction projects throughout the Vale of the Glamorgan.

 

 

M4 Junction 34 to Cardiff Airport Transport Network Scheme

The Council has been working with an independent technical consultant to develop proposals for a new road linking the M4 and A48 and a new park and ride at Junction 34 of the M4.

Penarth/Cardiff Barrage Sustainable Transport Corridor Study 

The Council has commissioned consultant’s Capita to undertake a WelTAG (Welsh Transport Planning and Appraisal Guidance) Stage One and Two study to develop and appraise potential options for improving sustainable transport within and between Penarth and Cardiff barrage.

The event will provide you with an opportunity to provide feedback on the three shortlisted options including their advantages and disadvantages, together with how these options could potentially alleviate the perceived problems and constraints associated with travel in this area.

 

As well as listening to your views on how the proposed solutions could enhance sustainable travel, relevant staff will be on hand to provide members of the public with additional information on the study and the WelTAG process.
