Information and guidance for various transport services across the Vale of Glamorgan including school and public transport.

Service Updates: 

• Road Works:  Due to various road closures throughout the Vale of Glamorgan, local bus services are likely to be diverted and possibly delayed.  Areas likely to be affected include:

  • B4265 West Aberthaw (9, 16–17, 20–22 July (6 evenings); Service 304 affected. 
  • A4222 Primrose Hill, Cowbridge (09-10 July / 18:00-00:00); Service X2 affected.   
  • Long Meadow Drive, Dinas Powys (24-28 July / 09:30-15:30 daily); Services 93, 305 affected.

• Services:

  • Service 7 (Penarth - Cardiff) has been extended to serve the University Hospital of Wales (Heath).
  • Summer Special Service 91 (Cardiff - Penarth Esplanade) from 22/06/2026 to 31/08/2026.
  • Service X2 (Porthcawl - Cardiff) will run via Leckwith into Cardiff from 31/08/2026.
  • Cardiff Bus: Summer service changes from 19th July 2026
  • Cardiff Bus: Summer Family Travel Saver - all day travel for just £6 this summer
