Local Sports Project gets community investment boost

Sue Watts launched a free shop, Bootaful Sports 4 All, from her home in Barry in June 2020.

Bootaful Sports 4 All has had support from Vale of Glamorgan Council and Pendragon, with it now moving from Ms Watt’s backroom to a specially designed shed.

Vale Homes launch their Tenant Profiling Project

  

Over the next 6 months all residents of the Vale will be receiving a telephone call from the Housing Teams in relation to the information we hold about them on our systems.

 

Having up to data on our systems about our residents is not only a legal requirement but also can aid us in planning for future unforeseen events such as the current Covid 19 pandemic.

Council launches time banking scheme

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has launched an innovative project that rewards volunteers for the time they give up.

 

Established by the Authority’s Housing Team in partnership with Glamorgan Voluntary Service (GVS) and Benthyg Cymru, the Time, Grow, Gain scheme sees helpers issued with tokens that be used towards a variety of activities.
