Planning application fees –On 20 October 2025, the Welsh Government confirmed that the planning application fee structure is due to change. The new fee structure will be implemented for any applications received on or after 1 December 2025. Full details are set out in the following link: Planning application fees | GOV.WALES. Planning applications should continue to be submitted online via the Planning Portal and payments made through the portal as instructed on submission.
Planning permission is required for all new building, engineering or mining works or where a material change of use is proposed to land or buildings unless the works are permitted development.
