Historical Educational Experience

Daily historical talks and tours both inside the castle and around the medieval village where children can interact with animals in the farm and learn all about history of this medieval period and how a farm would have looked, smelt and felt like. Children can learn about the how the farm grew and made use of its own home-grown vegetables, livestock and what a typical day in the life of would be like in this era.

Children will be at the centre of an interactive learning experience that uses all senses to truly make an impact on their ability to remember key events in the history timeline.

Live re-enactments and storytelling from Ross O’ Hennessy, who formerly played ‘The Reeve’ in the Medieval Village at Comeston Lakes Country Park. Ross and his team will enthral children and engage them in the full experience of life in the medieval village including learning skills and interesting facts about bread making and creating wax candles.
