Carers’ Week 2025 (June 9th – June 15th)

A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, long term illness, mental health condition, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older. It isn’t someone who volunteers or is employed to provide support.

Carers’ Week, taking place from 9 -15 June, is a UK-wide awareness campaign looking to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities.  It is backed by eight major charities.

The theme for 2025 is ‘Caring About Equality’
