You can make a request for CCTV for a variety of reasons. This can be done by:
How long we keep CCTV footage
We do not keep footage for longer than 31 days. The footage is automatically deleted once the 31 days have passed, unless we have received a formal request for the footage, or it is relevant to an ongoing investigation.
We do not own all CCTV cameras in The Vale of Glamorgan. We may not always have access to the footage.

We will not search for the footage unless the relevant documents have been provided.

You have the right to ask for CCTV footage of yourself. You can do this in writing or verbally. There may be circumstances where we cannot give you the footage. For example, if other individuals are identifiable in the footage.

You have the right to ask for CCTV footage on behalf of someone else. You must have consent and proof of identification from the person (the data subject).
