Construction and Development Section

The Construction and Development Section provides professional and technical services in the design and delivery of major and minor highway / infrastructure schemes for clients across the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Construction works are delivered by our in-house direct labour workforce and managed through our professional services which include project management, contract management, site supervision and quality monitoring.

Notification of our highway construction works are delivered locally to those residents who live in the proximity of the proposed works, with notices also being displayed on site. Below is a list of specific schemes that are either in the construction planning stage, currently being constructed or have recently been constructed by the Construction and Development Section.

During the above stages the documents available for each scheme will include:

• The residents letter including scheme description

• Indicative plans of the proposals / construction works being delivered

• Any additional information relevant to the scheme / works
