Children are eligible for a part time nursery place, usually five mornings or five afternoons, from the term after their third birthday.

Academic Year 2021-22
You will be notified of the decision as follows, If your child was born between:
1 September 2017 - 31 August 2018 - They will start nursery in September 2021. Notification will be posted on 25th May 2021
1 September 2018 - 31 December 2018 - They will start nursery in January 2022. Notification will be posted on 25th October 2021
1 January 2019 - 31 March 2019 - They will start nursery after Easter 2022. Notification will be posted on 17 January 2022
LLANCARFAN PRIMARY SCHOOL
A nursey unit will be established at Llancarfan Primary School for September 2021 with 48 places available for parents of nursery age children wishing to apply for a place. Llancarfan Primary School will be relocating to a new 210 place primary school building in Rhoose on the Golwg y Môr development during the 2021/22 academic year, subject to construction of the new building, which is due to be completed in December 2021. In the interim, nursery provision will be available in the current school building whereupon children would automatically transfer to the new school building in Rhoose on completion of the build. Nursey provision is being established to provide continuity and progression in children’s learning from age 3 at Llancarfan Primary School.

Childcare Offer for Wales in the Vale of Glamorgan
The Childcare Offer
The Childcare Offer provides eligible working parents of 3 to 4 year olds with childcare funding, for up to 48 weeks a year. The childcare funding starts from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday and ends just before your child enters full-time education.
In term time, you could receive up to 17.5 hours per week of funded childcare in registered childcare provision. In the school holidays, you could receive up to 30 hours per week of funded childcare in registered childcare provision, allocated at three holiday weeks per term.
