Procurement

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is part of a collaborative procurement partnership that comprises of four Local Authorities, Cardiff, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The four authorities have a combined annual spend of over £1 billion, and the aim of the partnership is to deliver socially responsible procurement for all partners through shared resources, knowledge, and expertise.

When evaluating bids, offers are considered either as the most economically advantageous in terms of quality and price, or as lowest price, dependent upon what is being purchased.  Parties interested in bidding to supply the Council are encouraged to register on the national procurement website Sell2Wales, which is where the Council advertises its procurement requirements.

Additionally, the Council is party to framework agreements established by the National Procurement Service (NPS). Future NPS business opportunities are also advertised on the sell2wales website.
