Fairoaks, Dinas Powys

Built in 1971, Fairoaks is a sheltered housing scheme for age 55 and over, offering a safe, supportive environment where residents can live independently and actively as possible. 

Fairoaks comprises of 99 properties across four locations: Fairoaks, Plas Essyllt, Vale Court and Youldon House. The accommodation includes: 32 one bed flats, 22 two bed flats, 18 one bed bungalows and 27 two bed bungalows.

A Scheme co-ordinator is based at Youldon House Monday to Friday, providing building management and support to tenants.  Outside of these hours, a 24-hour alarm system connects residents to a dedicated Control Centre for assistance. 

Youldon House offers a range of communal facilities, including a communal hall, IT suite, kitchen, laundry room and a community garden at the rear of the building. Regular activities take place here including coffee mornings, knit & knatter, bingo, breakfast club.
